Captain Tom Arlington from North Bay Charters reports from Lake St. Clair

Lake St. Clair Perch

September Lake St. Clair Mixed Bag

Who said the fishing is over after Labor Day ? Perch fishing continues to be the best fishing opportunity for those that want lots of action and great food for the family. The best action is in deep water. Find the perch weeds which look like green moss. The perch in these weeds are feeding heavy on snails, crayfish, and newly hatched minnows. Come along and I’ll show you the difference in the different weed beds found on Lake St. Clair. Muskie are strong near the “C” marker near the Dumping Grounds. Belle River is “hot” too. A 40 pounder was caught this past week.

Bass are moving near and in the channels that feed the lake.
