Capt. Dan Tebo, of D’Ann Marie Charters in Grand Haven, reports:

This will be my last fish report for the season.  Our last scheduled trips for the season are this weekend.

We have been fishing offshore this week.  We have been in 240 ft. to 300 ft. of water, and fishing the top 50 ft.
We are getting some very nice catches of Steel Head, Kings, and Cohos.

We are only using spoons now and they are preferring blues and oranges.

We are hoping for good weather this weekend for our annual Slammin’ Salmon Fest in Grand Haven.

We will be having a huge fish boil on Friday evening (open to the public).  On Saturday, we will have lots of fun things to do all along the boardwalk, including our wonderful Kidz Zone which the kids absolutely love!  They get to experience all facets of fishing, as well as educational spots provided especially for them.  We also have a Wine Tasting and many other things for the adults to do.

Our Salmon Tourney will begin on Saturday and continue through Sunday and you will see professionals and amateurs competing for lots of money and gifts.  Good luck to the fishermen and fisherwomen who have entered this tournament.
It is always the hit of the weekend as we watch the final numbers being put up on the board in front of the waterfront stadium.  Hope to see you there!
