Capt. Ken Deaton of J-Lyn Charters reports from Harbor Beach:
The weather has the lake pretty well mixed up right now. It will take a
few days for it to straighten back up again and for the fish to settle
back in. If the weather settles and the winds stay down, you will want
to start fishing in close to shore and work your way out to the deeper
water till you find the fish. They tend to go deep when the lake is on
the rough side.
Fishing has been very good and lots were being taken before the high
winds. When the winds go down, try fishing some medium size spoons and
body baits off the Offshore boards and downriggers, blues, silvers,
blacks and greens should work well. Don’t forget to get those bright
colors out to try for some Steelhead as well. Dodgers and spin and
glows off the bottom for Lake Trout should also be tried. They will be
hungry so hand on to those rods!
Keep those lines tight!
