Capt. Ken Deaton of J-Lyn Charters reports from Harbor Beach:

Limits of Lake Trout are still being taken straight out, North and South of the harbor on Dodgers and Spin and glows fished right down on the bottom. Continue using the medium and large size spoons off the downriggers as well. Best colors continue to be glow in the dark, purple, pink with white dots, yellow, green, and black colors. Work the 70 to 130 foot of water areas for best results.
Pinks, Coho and King Salmon are still being taken mixed in with the Lake Trout using medium and magnum size spoons off the boards and downriggers from 30 to 70 foot down in the same depth of water. Try adding Tadpole weights with spoons off the Offshore boards to get the lines down deeper.
Steelhead are being taken out on the color lines in 80 to 140 feet of water, try the new Offshore Tadpoles on with your monofilament lines to get them down deeper. The Offshore boards are also working well with 5 and 10 color lead lines with bright color spoons.
Perch fishing is still on the slow side try by the Light House and along the channel inside the harbor with minnows and night crawlers. You might want to try South of the harbor by the cemetery in 20 to 50 feet of water as well.
Walleye fishing is slow, try off the North wall early morning and late evening casting small body baits and spoons. Try the green, purple, silver and blue colors. Also try trolling out in 20 to 60 feet of water with crawler harnesses, small spoons and small body baits.

Bass and Pike are being taken inside the harbor and close to shore casting small body baits and spoons.

Keep those lines tight,
Captain Ken and Captain Janice Deaton

Capt. Bruce Bronner from Kathys Boyz 3 Charters reports from Bolles Harbor:

Walleye action fair to good on the Michigan Ohio bordeline, Sputnick and McDonalds. No real large schools of fish yet. Fish are scattered in smaller schools chasing bait as wind and water temp changes. Jet divers and Mini Disks with spoons are the ticket. Trolling speeds around 2.2-2.5 mph. Lots of sorting going on with about a half a dozen throwbacks per trip and a majority of the keepers are smaller, younger class fish.

Captain Steve Hamilton of First Class Charters reports from Manistee.

Fishing has slowed down this week and past week end, some rain and wind and
more rain expected. So not alot to report!
I have seen a few Salmon brought in to be cleaned and today nice Lake Trout
being cleaned at the dock.
Not a good concentration of fish, still scattered. And the fish are not on
the feed, but that can all change in a matter of days.
Boats are going a little South out of the Harbor, still using lead core-5 to
10 colors, divers back anywhere from 50 to 125 ft.and the riggers can vary
dependent on the time of day.
Yeck Spoons are still good-Salmon Stomper and the DW SS in Riverside and Fly
Girl.
We have seen some fish caught on a lure called the Shoe Horn, in a variety
of glo colors! Check it out! It has a flat head.
Of course the KRW fly-Green Glo and a new one called the Witch doctor.
And the stand bys of the Spin Doctors and DW Paddles, with white slick tape.
We will keep you posted of the week end fishing and will soon have lots more
to report.
Good Fishing!
