Capt. Bruce Bronner from Kathys Boyz 3 Charters reports from Bolles Harbor:

Fishing Sister Islands with Minnie Discs and Jet Divers 110 to 120 Back with Spoons. 29 to 30 feet of water. Running Big Discs 55 to 60 Back.
Good numbers of fish, but alot of throw backs. Trolling at 2.5 to 2.8. Water temperature 74 degrees

Walleye action fair to good on the Michigan Ohio bordeline, Sputnick and McDonalds. No real large schools of fish yet. Fish are scattered in smaller schools chasing bait as wind and water temp changes. Jet divers and Mini Disks with spoons are the ticket. Trolling speeds around 2.2-2.5 mph. Lots of sorting going on with about a half a dozen throwbacks per trip and a majority of the keepers are smaller, younger class fish.

Fishing has pick up on Lake Erie. Limit to near limit catches of walleyes in Ohio waters. Trolling in 23-25 fow with mini disk, 20 jet drivers. with spoons 65 to 75 ft back off boards. Most fish are in 2 to 3 lbs range, with a water temp of 65 degrees. Capt’n Bruce Kathys Boyz 3 Charters.

Lake Erie, Limit catches of 2 to 6 lbs. Drifting purple hair jigs and blade baits at the dumping grounds 10 to 12 ft. and Turtle Island 6 to 8 ft. of water. Trolling in front of Bolles Harbor in 15 ft. with shallow diving repellas 90 to 100 ft. back at 0.9 to 1.0 mph. Lures colors are fire tiger, purples, clown, white, and chartreuse.
