Looks like the wind will keep us on shore for the first part of the week, but once it settles down give this a try.

Before the big winds. There were some nice size Salmon taken this weekend South and straight out from the harbor. Try starting in 45 to 50 feet of water first thing in the morning and work your way out as the sun comes up. Try spoons off the downriggers set from 15 feet down to the bottom. Spoons on the offshore boards running the tadpoles with long lines are working well. Best colors continue to be the blues, greens, silver, and the fire tiger. Also try some body baits on the boards as well.

There were some nice Lake Trout taken out in the deeper water, straight out and North of the harbor, start in 60 to 70 feet and work out till you find where they are setting. Spoons or dodgers with flys 40 feet down to the bottom were working.

Put out some long lines or lead lines with bright colored spoons off the boards for some steelhead. Oranges, yellows, bright greens and blues are good colors.

If you want to try for some perch, try minnows by the lighthouse or South by the cemetery. Start in 25 feet and work around till you find them.

Brown Trout will be in close, use long lines to get back away from the boat. Body baits and spoons in blue, silver, purple or green are good.

Salmon fishing has slowed a little with the water clearing up some. Try South of the harbor starting in 30 feet of water first thing in the morning and work your way out as the sun comes up. Try spoons off the downriggers set from 12 feet down to the bottom. Spoons on the offshore boards running the tadpoles with long lines are working well. Best colors are blues, greens, silver, and the fire tiger. Also try some body baits on the boards as well.

Salmon fishing is good with some Kings, Coho, and even an Atlantic or
two being taken South of the harbor in 25 to 40 feet of water. Try blue
dolphin silver streaks off the downriggers 6 to 15 feet down. Dipsey
divers out 22 feet with spoons, green, blue and orange colors have been
good. Try three ways off the offshore boards with a big lip bomber on
the bottom and a spoon over top for added action. Fish the mud lines,
the fish are setting right along them. If you fish the clear water get
your lures back away from the boat.

Lake Trout are being taken in close as well using the same methods as
for the salmon.

Brown Trout are South of the harbor in close to shore. Get your lines
back from the boat, top to bottom, just be careful in close with all the
rocks. Spoons and body baits are working well, blue, yellows and green
colors are working well.

If you want to try for some perch you might try inside the harbor along
the channel and by the lighthouse using minnows.

Be safe, and keep those lines tight!

Some nice Steelhead and a few Salmon are being taken in 80 to 100 feet
of water straight out of the harbor. Fish high using 2 or 3 color lead
lines with bright colored spoons for best results. Spoons off the
downriggers set down 15 foot and back 50 to 100 feet are also working
well. The higher speeds of 3 to 3.5 mph are working well.

Lake Trout season is now closed for us so be sure to put them back if
you catch one!

Brown Trout are being taken in closer to shore using spoons and body
baits fished back from the boat in 30 to 35 feet of water, down 10 to 15
foot.

You might want to try inside the habror for some Salmon that will be
coming in to spawn.

Fish for the walleye late evenings off the North wall casting body baits
and spoons, perch colors should work best.

Fishing continues to be on hold with the high winds and waves. It looks like this will continue again this week. If you really need to get out on the lake and fish I would suggest fishing inside the harbor using spoons and body baits trolling along the channel. You could also try for some perch inside the harbor fishing with minnows along the channel edges and around the weed beds inside the harbor. Be safe, and keep those lines tight!
