For almost a quarter century the Michigan DNR has been planting
Chinook Salmon, Steelhead and Brown Trout in the St. Joseph
river system. In combination with Walleye and Skamania stocking
efforts, and abundance of other self-supporting species like,
Bluegill, Crappie, Large Mouth Bass, Musky, Northern Pike,
and Rock Bass, this beautiful river provides a diverse year
round fishery.
