Ahoy Members,

By now everyone should be done waxing and getting the boat ready for the season ahead of us. Remember for those of you that are up for inspection this year, get your paperwork sent into DNR. For the members that were confused by the last Cannonball article on Documentation and PML Action Alert, I want to apologize to you. We are trying hard to keep everyone informed on all the new requirements needed. Captain Jim Fenner has spent a lot of time writing articles, sending E-Mails and follow up phone calls, to get the accurate information and answers that the members need to be in compliance. I would like to thank Capt. Jim for a job well done.

I would like to welcome aboard our newest Board members: Captain John Giszczak will be the Director of Lake Erie/Lake St. Clair area. Capt. John runs out of Luna Pier aboard the Stray Cat. Captain Jim Shutt will be the Director of the U.P. Capt. Jim runs out of Hessel aboard the Dream Seaker.


MCBA web site has been getting many hits regarding fishing reports. We need updated fishing reports on a regular basis to keep all reports current. Please forward any reports to your Port Captains so that they can get them to Capt. Ron at Central. He will then update the reports on the Internet.
