Choose a Lake Erie Fishing Port

Lake Erie is known around the world for its outstanding walleye fishery. Michigan's western basin of Lake Erie is home to millions of walleye and jumbo perch. Anglers from all over the Midwest flock to the Western Basin of Lake Erie, ("Walleye Capital of the World") in the spring through early summer. Walleye are prized because of its tender, flavorful fillets.

Yellow perch are also plentiful along the reefs and islands of the lake throughout the late summer and fall seasons.
